October 2, 2024
ANNISTON, Ala., October 2, 2024 - Tyler Union is proud to have met the demand for iron fittings and restraints in servicing damaged water lines in Asheville, North Carolina caused by Hurrican Helene.
On Saturday, Sept. 28, Ferguson Waterworks Municipal Outside Salesman for Western North Carolina reached out to Hunter Reese, Tyler Union Territory Manager and Greg Fuller, Tyler Union Regional Manager, with a list of ductile iron fittings and restraints that were needed for an emergency repair after the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. A 24” ductile iron waterline that services the city of Asheville, North Carolina from the Black Mountain Water Treatment Plant was washed out due to significant flood damage in the area.
Tyler Union customer service and shipping were notified that a hot rush order would be placed on the needed items to ensure its products would be ready to go. Working with a freight company over the weekend, the Tyler Union team was able to secure a dedicated flatbed trailer that was available in the Anniston, Alabama area. Customer service entered the order first thing Monday morning, and shipping was able to gather the products and load the courier that same day. Thanks to the hard work of people in various departments and locations, Tyler Union’s products made it safely to Asheville, North Carolina Tuesday morning.
