Anniston, Alabama: August 3, 2009 — Tyler/Union Foundry announced today a reduction in force of 45 hourly employees. A drop in sales, market conditions and the overall economy all contributed to this reduction in force.
Kent Brown, Assistant General Manger at Tyler/Union Foundry said, “This unfortunate reduction in force is necessary to position the Company to weather the current economic downturn. We are optimistic that when the economy rebounds Tyler/Union Foundry will be in a solid position to compete in the marketplace and resume normal operations.”
